PARKS AND RECREATION
The City of Veneta Parks Board is seeking volunteers to help
with park maintenance and beautification. Volunteers are needed for
a variety of activities, including landscaping, tree/shrub planting and pruning, raking and debris clean-up
- Litter clean-up
- Park equipment repair
- Painting
The City of Veneta Parks Board is instrumental in planning for acquisition
and development of city park land. Current Parks Board members include:

The Parks Board meets every first Wednesday of the month at 4:30
p.m. at City Hall. The public is invited to attend.
Other ways to get involved:
Adopt-A-Park Program: Help the City keep your parks clean and beautiful
by making a long-term commitment to your favorite neighborhood park.
We encourage citizens to adopt a park as a family, small group, or
organization to make it fun!
Special Parks Projects: This program is for citizens who prefer
periodic or short-term volunteer commitments. Citizens have the opportunity
to help the City with park development, restoration, landscaping,
painting, and equipment repair. This is a great opportunity for Eagle
Scouts, school classrooms, and students wanting to earn community
service hours.
Volunteer Program Coordination: Be a community leader and help the
City with volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination.
