Community Services
Welcome to Community Services – where the City’s land use planning and public works functions are united in service to the community.

I would like to invite you to learn more about the City’s community services and to participate in your municipal government. From time to time, the City conducts studies and updates planning ordinances which affect how the city grows and development occurs. Citizen feedback and participation is an important part of these processes.

The City also has a very active Parks Board – a group of seven motivated citizens who are working to acquire and develop new parks and refurbish the City’s existing parks. Parks Board members are appointed by the Mayor. Subcommittees will be forming soon. If you would like to participate, please contact myself, or our acting Parks Board Chairperson, Gail Wilkie (935-2191).

In the near future, the City will be updating its Water Master Plan and Wastewater Facilities Plan. If you’re interested in these projects, please let me know.
